Epic - Ganymede

Last but not least, Ganymede--garden theme, with conference rooms like Green Thumb, The Hive, Poison Ivy, and The Gnomb Home

Epic - Fomalhaut

Fomalhaut's theme is New York. In my opinion, it's the best of the buildings, following Andromeda.

Epic - Deneb

Deneb is my home building, where my office is. Its theme is the jungle. All our conference rooms campus-wide our named along the theme of the building. Deneb features conference rooms named Stanley and Livingston, The Canopy, Victoria Falls, Monkey Business, and Concrete Jungle.

Epic - Andromeda

So, I've been promising photos of where I work for a while now. My brother once described it as "better than some art museums I've gone to" and sometimes I strongly agree.

Epic's new campus of buildings in Verona are all named after celestial terms, and each building has a different theme.

Building A--Andromeda--it's theme is "Epic Ecclectic"--this is where all the admin staff works, and therefore where all visitors see, so it's got the most art, interesting design, and really fun conference rooms.

Building B--Borealis--Scandinavia theme

Building C--Cassiopeia--our caffeteria/commons--newly finished, I don't have any photos of it yet--I'm waiting for them to finish it in the next few weeks before I take the photos

Building D--Deneb--Jungle theme--this is the building I work in

Building E--Endor--not yet built--will be a treehouse

Building F--Fomalhaut--New York theme

Building G--Ganymede--Garden theme

My weekend

It's been a good weekend!

Yesterday I went to the Art Fair on the Square. It's a big event in Madison--hundreds of artists, mostly from the midwest. Epic buys all of our art for our campus at the Art Fair on the Square--and I LOVE Epic Eclectic art. I bought three prints-- two by Curtis Long--"Madison"--a Madison map with other Madison related clips around it (VERY hard to see in the scanned copy on his site--easier on the print--the original looked great!!!) and "Mad City Musings"--a slightly abstract view looking down State Street from the corner of State St. and Henry toward the capital. I also bought a print of "Autumn at the Union Terrace" by Steven Kozar. His work is amazing--to look at it, you'd swear it was a photograph, but it's painting. It's amazing the level of detail he gets in his paintings.

If you'd like to see other works by these artists, their sites are http://www.curtislong.com and http://www.stevenkozar.com respectively.

After the art fair yesterday I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean with KK and Krista. It was ok. I really liked everything but the ending. It felt like there was no true ending--just the setup for the sequel. I HATE when movies do that!

Today was also FABULOUS. Krista and I went for our spa day. Because she referred me to her apartment complex, we were each given a gift certificate to the spa as part of the referral bonus. We each had massages and facials. Plus I had a manicure while she had a pedicure. It was great. Sooooo relaxing. I'd definitely go back!

I can't WAIT for next weekend. I get my new apartment on Saturday. I"m moving boxes that weekend, but my furniture doesn't move until the 18th--I hired movers. It was too much of a pain to move into here, so I didn't want to put my friends through the pain of moving me back out. It's going to be great to not be in this apartment anymore. I really do despise it here. 9 days and counting!
